This policy explains how Gharama Cloud Limited ("Gharama Cloud", "we", "us") handles personal data when you visit https://gharama.cloud or use our services. Our registered office is at Tulivu Coworking, Starehe District, Nairobi 00100, Kenya.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us — name, work email, company and role — when you email us or sign up.
- Account data for users of the platform, such as login details and preferences.
- Cloud billing data from accounts you connect. This is mostly usage and cost information; it can include account names, resource identifiers and tags, which may contain personal data if your team puts it there.
- Basic technical data such as IP address and browser type in server and security logs.
How we use it
- To provide the service: analysing costs, producing reports and recommendations.
- To respond to enquiries and support requests.
- To keep the service secure and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your clients' billing data to market to them.
Our role
For billing data from connected accounts, we act as a data processor on behalf of the agency or service provider that connected them. For website enquiries and our own customer relationships, we act as the data controller.
Where it's stored
Service data is stored with Amazon Web Services. We use a small number of other providers (for example, email and DNS). Where data is transferred across borders, we use appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep billing data for as long as the connection is active and delete it after it's disconnected, unless we're required by law to keep it longer.
Your rights
Under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019 — and, depending on where you are, other laws such as the GDPR — you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner. To exercise your rights, email hello@gharama.cloud.
